Most young boys are not at risk of the behaviour represented in GTA, while most young girls most certainly are at risk of poor body image and unnecessary plastic surgery. While I'm not one for scapegoating games, I do think that the kneejerk-defense responses thus far could do with some more thought.įor one, this game doesn't seem equivalent to Grand Theft Auto, to large degree because the actions represented don't seem equivalent. OHHH My goodness, are you serious? Scamming young players out of their MONEY? In the meantime, parents should keep their daughters as far away from this title as possible. Whether or not they'll take responsibility for scamming young players out of money, though, has yet to be addressed.
